|
| pH/mV/ORP |
|
The instrument measures the pH of the
solution under test using a glass & reference electrode,
combined pH electrode or the Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP)
using Calomel/Platinum Electrodes. Calibration of the instrument
is done with standard buffer solution (7.0 pH and 4.0 or 9.2
pH). It can also be used as a general purpose milli voltmeter. |
| |
| Conductivity/TDS/Salinity |
|
The instrument measures the conductivity,
estimates TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and Salinity of the
solution under test using a conductivity cell. Calibration of
the instrument is done with standard KCI solution. After doing
cell calibration with KCI solutions, Salinity calibration is
done by using standard salinity solutions. The auto ranging and
automatic recognition of cell-constant makes the operation of
the unit very easy. |
|
|
| Dissolved Oxygen |
|
The instrument measures estimation of
dissolved oxygen in water. Dissolved oxygen is measured in ppm
over a range of 0 to 20 ppm with 0.1 ppm resolution. The
dissolved oxygen measurement is automatically temperature
compensated for solubility of oxygen in water and permeability
of probe membrane. The probe supplied with the unit is a special
Clark type membrane covered polarographic sensor. The thin
permeable membrane stretched over the sensor isolates the sensor
elements from the environment, but allows oxygen to enter. When
a polarizing voltage is supplied across the sensor, oxygen that
has passed through the membrane reacts at the cathode, causing a
current to flow. |
|
|
| Temperature |
|
The instrument measures the temperature of
the solution under test using a temperature (PT 100) sensor. |
|
|
| Colorimeter |
|
The instrument measures the absorbance,
Transmittance or concentration in colorimetric mode. A wide
wavelength range 400 to 700 nm, is covered with the help of 3
three optical filters. |
|
|
| Turbidity |
|
The instrument measures the turbidity of the
solutions (water). The principle of operation of this instrument
is based on the well known law of Tyndall effect. A beam of
light passing through turbid liquid being tested, scatters the
light which, in turn, is collected at right angles by photocell.
The amount of scattered light is proportional to the turbidity
of the solution under test.
Calibration of the instrument is done with
standard solutions. Provision for storing calibration of all
appropriate modes is provided with the help of battery backup.
This data can be further used for measuring the unknown, without
re-calibrating the instrument even after switching it off. Active
measurement mode is indicated by LEDs.
The unit is equipped with a user friendly
software. A 2 line 20 character alphanumeric LCD Display along
with 14 keys enable the user to select, set and operate the unit
with ease. All measurement results are available on the display.
Centronic interface is provided for printing the measurements
taken. The unit has an ergonomically designed panel having soft
keys for operation. Mains or Battery operation is available. |
