‘LOBAlife’ SPECTROPHOTOMETERS VSP06 & VSP66 is a set of micro controller based new standards in accuracy, reliability and time saving. Wide spectral coverage and high resolution is achieved by using a powerful light source and a grating based monochromator. A conveniently placed control enables the user to quickly orient the grating to provide monochromatic light of desired wavelength. The electronic processing circuits and power supplies are solid-state/LSI-based to ensure high accuracy, stability and long life. Two different models, catering to the varying needs of end-users, are presented here.

‘LOBAlife’ VSP67 is a micro controller-based Single Beam Scanning ,Visible Spectrophotometer. It provides operating modes likes Single Wavelength, Multi Wavelength, Spectrum scan & Concentration and measuring modes like % Transmittance, Absorbance and Concentration by standard & factor. The unit offers wavelength range from 340nm to 999nm, wavelength setting resolution of lnm, wavelength setting accuracy of ± 2 nm, and the spectral bandwidth of 5 nm. The grating spectral order interference is eliminated by a set of automatically positioned order cut off filters.

The unit is equipped with user friendly software. A 20 characters & 2 line alphanumeric LCD Display along with 16 keys enable the user to select, set and operate the unit with ease. All the measurement results are available on the display except for the spectrum scan. A commonly used EPSON compatible dot matrix printer prints the scans besides providing hard copy of the measurements. Added application software provides data processing like Peak Pick (Absorbance peak) of the spectrum scan. Concentration measurement with curve fit (up to 5 standards) is provided. The unit can be connected to a PC through an optional RS-232 interface to provide display of spectra on monitor. This further adds features like: Spectrum Storage/Retrieve, Peak-Pick/Point-Pick etc. The sample compartment provides a TWO POSITION cuvette holder of I Omm path length, as a standard facility. Minimum sample volume is 1 ml in 4ml cuvette. Single position 40mm/50mm path length cell holder, factory installed, is optional.

‘LOBAlife’ UV - VIS SPECTROPHOTOMETER UV17 is a micro controller based single beam scanning instrument. It provides three measuring modes ; Percent Transmission (%T), Absorbance (ABS) and Concentration (CONC). The available operating modes are Single-Wavelength, Multi-Wavelength, Spectrum Scan and Time Scan. It covers 200-1100nm and offers 2nm bandwidth. Combination of user friendly software, 20 x 4 alphanumeric LCD display and 18 soft-touch keys provide a stand alone operation. All measurement results are available on the display except for the Spectrum Scan. A printer prints the scan besides providing hard copy of measurements. RS-232 is optional to enhance data processing ability through PC.

PC OPERATED UV-VIS SPECTROPHOTOMETER UV19 has the versatility to meet the wide measurement needs of both industries and research institutions at economical level.
The unit offers multi measurement modes : % Transmission, Absorbance and Concentration. Special software, supports Multi-standard Calibration with linear or nonlinear curve fitting for concentration measurements, besides the K-factor method.
Operation modes available are : Single Wavelength, Multi-Wavelength, Wavelength Scan and Time-Scan. The PC (Personal Computer) and application software enhance the data processing ability and offer : Peak-Pick, Point-Pick, Expansion of Spectra, Overlaying of Spectra, 1 ‘to 4th Derivatives, Averaging of Scan, Subtraction of two Scan’s, Concentration Calculations, Spectrum Store / Recall etc. (Pentium 700 MHz or above is suitable)

 AUTOMATIC BASE LINE CORRECTION
The unit automatically scans the blank/reference and stores its spectrum in memory to give the base line correction when a sample is scanned.

USER FRIENDLY AND MENU DRIVEN OPERATION
The instrument is operated through user friendly software. This enables the user to select, set and operate the unit, in any of the modes with ease. A CRT monitor displays all the menus, and guides you through each step of operation and then displays the results.

EDITING/SAVING THE CALIBRATION CURVE FOR CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENT
Facility is provided for post - deletion of standards from a selected calibration curve for concentration measurement to get another more suitable curve for a given application. Standard curve can be saved forfuture use.

SELF DIAGNOSTICS AND AUTO WAVELENGTH CALIBRATION
Each time the unit is turned ‘on’ it checks its electronic sub systems to ensure correct performance. Further, the unit goes through a wavelength calibration routine to ensure wavelength accuracy.

DOUBLE BEAM UV-VIS SPECTROPHOTOMETER UV21 (PC BASED) WITH VARIABLE BANDWIDTH

Versatile instrument for Research and Industrial Laboratories. The instrument is designed with precision and technique for accurate qualitative and quantitative, Spectrophotometric analysis in Agricultural, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Bio-technological, Forensic etc. fields. The PC based operation is user friendly for beginners and gives enough scope for data handling to experienced scientists.

The double beam optics with holographic grating, in-house designed, sophisticated and advanced electronic circuit and the digital precision of the PC enable the instrument to perform at optimum level. A ‘high sensitivity Photo-Multiplier Tube (PMT) used as a ,,detector offers high wavelength resolution for identification of sharp peaks. The bandwidth may be Selected from 0.5 nm to 6.0 nm (at an interval of 0.1 nm) for the entire wavelength region. Variable ‘bandwidth facility gives advantage to select lower ,bandwidth for sharp peaks and higher bandwidth wherever possible to reduce the signal to noise ratio. The computer controlled electronic circuit moves a stepper motor driven screw-rod mechanism for ‘accurate wavelength setting with resolution of 0.1 nm Automatic positioning five position 10 mm path length cuvette holder for samples gives ease of operation.
